It’s so powerful to have someone believe in us when we don’t yet believe in ourselves. That external belief can be enough to propel us forward to great things.
I look back on my own life. I wonder what it would have been like without the people who chose to believe in me.
- My mom who told me I could do anything.
- My dad who has been with me through it all: the teenage years, college, marriage, grad school, kids, and business.
- My husband who committed on our wedding day to help me become the best Rena I can be.
- PJ and Marge who mentored me in social work.
- Dawn and Toni Who supported me and my first business.
- Janet who faithfully prays with and for me every week.
- Health, life and business coaches who could see my potential and helped me to live it.
The benefits of having someone believe in us are clear. It helps us move forward when our own inclination may be to stay still. Fear and self doubt would hold us back. The other person’s belief in us helps us to achieve and maintain forward motion in life.
Who has chosen to believe in you? How has it helped you?
Here’s a really neat thing: you can be that special someone to another person. When we believe in someone, seeing their potential and sharing it with them, we are being a positive impact in that person’s life.
Because we believe in someone, we can help propel them to the greatness that is inside of them. Our beliefs can help them overcome the internal barriers that would otherwise hold them back.
Who in your life do you believe in and can bless them bye letting them know it?
