I was talking to someone the other day. I was asking them if they thought they were making the impact with their life that they wanted. They said, “Yes! I’m so blessed, I get to make a difference in people’s lives because I help people buy a house.” I get answers like this a lot.
So, I then asked “If you could change one thing about the world, what would it be?” The answer I got was beautiful. They said, “You know how people drive home, open the garage door, drive in and close the garage door? I hate that. I wish people were more connected with each other. If I were to change one thing, it would be to for people to be more connected to each other.” Then I asked, “What if selling houses isn’t your calling, but instead it’s helping people become more connected?” The reply was, “Oh! That’s a really good question.”
We all have this deep need to be able to look in the mirror and feel like we give our all and pour our life into something that really matters – something in line with our most deeply held values.
