Life Goes On, Thankfully

As many of you know, John had a heart attack in 2005. He had a second heart attack today, Tuesday July 15. He’s doing well now. The doctors cleared out what was a 100% blockage in the same artery that was clogged before. I don’t know if there was any long-term damage to the heart. I do know, however, that we caught it very early, which reduced the likelihood of damage. It’s a good reminder of a couple things:

Take heart attack symptoms seriously.

John experienced the same symptoms that he had in 2005 including achiness in the job, between the shoulder blades and in the upper arms as well as chest pain. He didn’t let it ride for a long time but chose to have it checked out to be safe.

Remember that life can be shorter than you think, so make the most of your time.

We never know when the end of our life will come. So if you have anything significant you want to accomplish, it’s time to get moving on it. I am grateful to have a lot of support in my life. If I need any help during John’s recovery process, I will not hesitate to reach out. Thanks everyone for being a part of our lives.
