What if you’ve had a dream to do a specific thing to make a difference but it doesn’t work out? Circumstances change, opportunities evaporate, and you don’t know what to do. There’s something you can do to help move forward and not be stuck.
When you have thoroughly explored your passions, it opens up a lot of options you wouldn’t have noticed before. In fact, we all have multiple things we are passionate about. There are multiple ways we can make an impact that we’re passionate about and that would be a good fit for us.

A Woman and her husband attended our weekend workshop, Life Impact Academy 201: Connection and Purpose. They were already very clear on a specific idea to make a difference. They wanted to start a ranch to help inner-city kids break the cycle of poverty and violence.
Even though they were clear on their desired impact and how they wanted to achieve it, they fully engaged in the process of exploring their passions. They connected with the differences they would be really passionate about making.
After the seminar, various circumstances made the creation of the ranch less feasible. The husband got a new position he’s very excited about that takes him out of town. As time went on, the woman found that God was putting opportunities in front of her that were in alignment with some of her other passions. Because she had reconnected with those passions and was aware of them, she was able to recognize the opportunities and engage in them.
Now she is providing a financial seminar to empower women survivors of domestic violence, helping them to be more financially secure. She’s also mentoring some homeless families as they prepare to transition into an apartment. She’s helping them to learn to use and live on a budget.
She is making a difference that she’s passionate about and that’s a great fit for her. She’s very excited about it! She attributes the difference she’s making now to the Life Impact Academy 201: Connection and Purpose. When she told me the story, I had both goosebumps and tears.
I just love seeing how powerful it is to connect with our passions and use them to make a difference. I love helping people explore the options so they don’t get stuck when their one plan doesn’t work out.
