It is possible to have energy to focus on our calling. Here are a few tips.
1. Sped time with positive people.
Positive energy is contagious. Hang out with people who build you up and see what’s good in life.
2. Limit your exposure to negative people.
Some people can suck the life out of you. Watch out for people who complain a lot and expect the worst.
3. Plug into positive media.
Give your attention to books, blogs, documentary videos, podcasts, and shows that our solution focused and encouraging.
4. Avoid negative media.
Advertising engenders dissatisfaction and the news inspires fear or outrage.
5. Watch for good things everywhere.
Look for and notice things in your world that are: true, noble, right, pure, lovely, admirable, excellent, or praiseworthy. Think about those things.
6. Set and maintain healthy boundaries.
It’s your responsibility to take care of yourself in relationships. No one else is going to do it for you.
7. Use creative problem-solving.
When a problem situation seems to defy resolution, think outside the box. Consider all kinds of options. Even if they seem crazy at first. It can help you think up new, potentially useful ideas he wouldn’t have thought of before.
8. Use a trusted “to do” list.
It’s surprising how much mental energy we waste trying to remember things we need to do. Conserve that energy by writing down to do items as you think of them and refer to that list frequently.
9. Go for a quick win.
When you’re having a hard time getting started on the project, start with something that’s easy and moves you forward. It’s encouraging and inspires more activity.
10. Eat your greens, drink plenty of water, exercise, sleep 7-8 hours each day, and remember to call your mom.
