Today i’m giving you a quiz on how supportive your friends are for you. Actually, it’s an exercise from chapter three of our book, “Splash! Increase Your Life’s Impact.”
A couple weeks ago, I challenged you to evaluate your “peeps.” Now it’s time to get detailed about that evaluation. Take this quiz to determine how much of a positive or negative input those people are in your life. Write the names of the 3 to 5 people you spend the most time with. Rate each person on a scale of 1 to 10 based on how you feel after being with them.

Now that you’ve used this quiz to evaluate how your friends are impacting you, it’s time to ask some tough questions.
Is there anyone to whom you should start limiting your exposure? On the other hand, is there anyone with whom you may want to increase the amount of time you spend? Do you need to add in some new people who can be a positive input in your life?
Making these adjustments may not be easy. It will be worthwhile, though, when you consider the cost of being around the wrong people and the benefits of being around the right people. The truth is, we can’t be a Lone Ranger when it comes to making a difference in the world. We all need people who support us on that journey.
